Sally Scalera

Sally graduated from the Iowa State University   with a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture.   Immediately after graduating she did a three month internship with the Iowa State Cooperative Extension Service in Mason City, Iowa.  After completing the internship she came down to Florida to work in the Horticulture Department at EPCOT Center in Walt Disney World.  Sally worked in Horticulture for two years and the Land Pavilion for one year.  Sally left Disney to work as the Horticulturalist for the City of Winter Park.  After working for the City of Winter Park for two years she returned to Disney to work at the Tree Farm and Nursery.  Sally was responsible for labeling the plants in all three theme parks, taking slides to document events and activities that the Horticulture Department was involved in, training and scheduling the gardeners to give the Gardens of the World tours and creating a bloom list for all three parks every month.  Sally left Disney in 1992 to begin working on her Masters Degree.  In January of 1993 Sally began working for the Brevard County Extension Service as a Horticulture Agent.
